What is Aromatherapy?

This is a consultation and Energy session to support your physical, emotional, and mental well-being using essential oils.

Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being.

The inhaled aroma from these “essential” oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Essential oils are absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream promoting healing. Essential oils are used for inhalations, massage, compresses, cosmetics, candles, bathing, spraying, etc. Many alternative therapists consider essential oils as the best way to look and feel well, to enjoy great health and vitality and to reduce stress.

Only 10% of all plants have essential oils. These plants have botanical immunological intelligence. They can kill bacteria, uplift our moods, deepen focus and mental clarity, and expand our consciousness. When diffused they shift the energy in a room or within ourselves.

Certain combinations of oils diffused into the air are being used to stop the MRSA bacteria. Plants are the inverse mirror reflection of humans and we cannot live without each other. The research with Essential Oil therapy is constantly expanding.

Jasmine oil facilitates delivery in childbirth. It hastens the birth by strengthening the contractions and at the same time relieves pain. It is effective in post-natal depression and promotes the flow of breast milk.

Because of its deeply soothing and calming nature, jasmine oil helps with sexual problems such as impotence, premature ejaculation and frigidity.

It has a very beneficial effect on the respiratory system, by soothing irritating coughs and helping with hoarseness and laryngitis. It furthermore helps with muscle pain, sprains, and stiff limbs.

Jasmine oil tones dry, greasy, irritated and sensitive skin, increases elasticity and is often used to assist with stretch marks and to reduce scarring.

Neroli – Orange Blossom

Neroli essential oil is a very precious oil produced from blossoms of the Bitter Orange tree. These blossoms are small, white and very fragrant.

The essential oil is both a sedative and overall tonic to the nervous system, and can be beneficial for most stress-related disorders of an emotional origin. The oil has been said to treat heart palpitations, relieve insomnia and reduce nervousness. Neroli’s calming effect can be tried by deeply inhaling the aroma, rubbing a few drops on the solar plexus, diluting in Jojoba oil and wearing as a natural perfume, or diffusing in small amounts. Neroli is considered one of the most important aromatics for aromatherapy treatment for anxiety, and depression resulting from stress and anxiety.

Neroli is one of the premier oils for mature women’s skin care (along with Rose Otto and Clary Sage). The relaxing properties are imparted on a cellular level, and the oil is especially beneficial for sensitive skin.

“The oil is reputed to have a rejuvenating effect on the skin, as it has an ability to stimulate the growth of new and healthy cells.” —Salvatore Battaglia in The Complete Guide to Aromatherapy

Neroli essential oil has been noted as a tonic for the female reproductive system, for relief of menstrual cramps. Add to a bath or dilute to 10% in Apricot Kernel Oil and massage into the abdomen.

The anti-bacterial, anti-parasitic and anti-spasmodic properties of Neroli oil make it possibly supportive for intestinal disorders. Again, use in a bath or dilute and massage into the abdomen. Abdominal massage with Neroli may be most effective when the stomach trouble is the result of stress.
