How Does Hypnosis Work?
Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness that is called a trance. In this state we gain more conscious awareness of ourselves.
This is a naturally occurring state. a person may focus his or her attention, more easily on specific thoughts. These thoughts may be causing serious problems in one’s life.
The hypnotic state allows people to explore painful thoughts, feelings, and memories they might have hidden from their conscious minds. hypnosis enables people to perceive some things differently, such as blocking an awareness of pain, as with hypnotherapy for childbirth.
Hypnosis can be used in two ways, as suggestion therapy or for patient analysis. The hypnotic state allows us to respond to suggestions. Hypnotherapy can help people change certain behaviors, such as to stop smoking or nail-biting. It helps people change perceptions and sensations, and is particularly useful in treating pain.
Discovering Root Causes
We use this relaxed state to find the root cause of a disorder or symptom, such as a traumatic past event that is hidden in her unconscious memory. Once the trauma is revealed, it can be addressed. The hypnotic state allows a person to be more open to discussion and suggestion. It can improve the success of other treatments for many conditions, including:
- Phobias, fears, and anxiety
- Sleep disorders
- Post-trauma anxiety
- Grief and loss
It also might be helpful for people whose symptoms are severe or who need crisis management.

As we see the truth of the past, we are able to resolve the inner conflicts healing the blocks that create physical and emotional pain.

You are able to listen and trust the decisions that you make as they come from that guided, a loving place within. You no longer see life and its problems.
